Government Description: This is a 12th grade one-semester course and graduation requirement. The course will focus on the historical foundations and documents of the United States government, the difference between separation and division of power, the role of citizens, domestic vs. foreign policy making, and a comparison and contrast of political and economic systems. A major component of this class will be the ability to make a personal connection to the importance of understanding government. Throughout the semester, students will be expected to stay informed on current events. Students will be able to access most activities, assignments, and assessments through Schoology.
